6 MINS: Blaney penalised for a crooked throw but Brian O'Driscoll rescues situation by forcing Anthony Foley to hang onto the ball and the Munster captain is penalised.

7 MINS: Blaney let down by his jumpers as there is a breakdown in communication and no Leinster player gets off the ground at a lineout. Leinster are penalised at the ensuing ruck and O'Gara punts brilliantly to the corner.

8 MINS: O'Connell demonstrates great athleticism to take throw and the Munster wedge eventually allows Denis Leamy to touch down. O'Gara kicks a fine conversion (10-0).

11 MINS: Rob Henderson replaces John Kelly after the latter suffers a shoulder injury.

13 MINS: Leinster sweep away on counterattack from inside their own 22 and Denis Hickie races past the despairing dive of O'Connell. Shaun Payne can't make the tackle either but his contact with Hickie is enough to see the Leinster wing put a foot on the line, thereby saving a likely try.

19 MINS: Munster penalised at a ruck and Felipe Contepomi kicks a 23-metre penalty (10-3).

21 MINS: Cameron Jowitt penalised for pulling down O'Connell at a lineout. O'Gara kicks the penalty from 23 metres (13-3).

22 MINS: Contepomi fails to kick the restart 10 metres and Munster are awarded a scrum on the halfway line.

26 MINS: Contepomi and Leamy are involved in a wrestling match on the ground and as Leinster are set to be awarded a penalty just outside the Munster 22 after an O'Driscoll break, the touch judge intervenes and a penalty is reversed, play going back to where the tussle began.

27 MINS: O'Gara kicks the penalty (16-3).

29 MINS: Munster are penalised just outside their 22 but Contepomi smothers his penalty attempt and it drifts left and wide of the posts.

35 MINS: Peter Stringer collapses following a collision with Will Green after Leinster are awarded a penalty inside their own 22. Jutge tells the Munster scrumhalf to get up.

38 MINS: Heaslip is penalised for barging at a lineout. O'Gara misses the long-range attempt, his only aberration with the boot.

HALF-TIME: Munster 16 Leinster 3.

41 MINS: Blaney's first throw of the second half is deemed crooked by Jutge.

45 MINS: David Wallace knocks on in midfield, the ball bouncing into Gordon D'Arcy's hands. Munster's scramble defence is excellent and they manage to thwart their opponents.

47 MINS: Munster are penalised for hands in a ruck but from the resultant penalty Contepomi sees his kick come back off a post.

49 MINS: Jerry Flannery's tenacity in the tackle and ability to get to his feet and tussle for the ball force Heaslip to concede a penalty.

55 MINS: A bit of kicking tennis ensues with Leinster perhaps the more culpable in that a couple of punts lack direction and go straight to a red jersey. Leinster eventually concede a penalty for going off their feet at a ruck. O'Gara nudges the kick towards the corner.

55 MINS: Eric Miller replaces Cameron Jowitt.

57 MINS: Three times in a couple of minutes Leinster concede penalties uncomfortably close to their own try line. They defend a close-in lineout, a couple of scrums and a quickly taken tap penalty by Foley. It's Alamo stuff but they show great character in holding out.

65 MINS: Tomás O'Leary comes on for Henderson.

65 MINS: Munster concede a penalty inside their own 22 and straight in front of the posts. Contepomi elects to run the ball but a loose pass to Blaney leads to a knock-on and a missed opportunity.

68 MINS: A Contepomi penalty reduces the gap to 10 points (16-6).

70 MINS: Leinster manage to get some continuity and go through several phases. The ball goes to Miller who throws a beautifully weighted pass but it's Blaney's wonderful line that conjures the break in the Munster defence. As Payne approaches to tackle the hooker on the Munster 22, Blaney throws a high inside pass that the supporting Heaslip has little chance of gathering.

73 MINS: Federico Pucciariello receives a yellow card for playing the ball from an offside position. Not a particularly heinous crime, more a case of Jutge's patience finally wearing out after the issuing of a couple of communal warnings to the two teams.

74 MINS: Contepomi misses the difficult resultant penalty, his third errant kick of the afternoon.

75 MINS: Frankie Roche replaces Foley as Munster are required to bring on a frontrow forward for a scrum.

76 MINS: A long flat pass from O'Gara outflanks the Leinster defence near halfway and after Munster go through the phases it is their outhalf who hands off O'Kelly to canter over under the posts and remove any shred of doubt about who's going to prevail. He tags on the conversion (23-6).

80 MINS: Easterby delays his pass from a ruck and Trevor Halstead anticipates. The South African intercepts and races 55 metres to score under the posts.

O'Gara converts with the last kick of the game (30-6).
