EQUESTRIAN SPORT: Jessica Kürten's winning streak continued last night with victory in the Credit Suisse Grand Prix at the big five-star international in Zurich. Kurten picked up a €20,000 reward after she and the mare Quibell left the opposition floundering when crossing the finish line clear in 40.08 seconds.

This was Kürten's fifth successive victory, with her impressive run starting in Dubai a fortnight ago when she claimed the world's richest prize of $250,000 in the Grand Prix at the Al Maktoum Memorial Challenge.

Kürten started her day with a fourth in the ride and drive, ending up less than a second off the pace set by the home side's Pius Schwizer. Kürten partnered Commandor in the ride and drive which she had steered to two victories in Leipzig last weekend.
