Vinny Murray Cup semi-finals/King's Hospital 30 Newbridge College 10: King's Hospital were seldom troubles as they scored three tries to qualify for the Vinny Murray Cup final at the expense of Newbridge College, yesterday.
Charles Coyle and top scorer Harry Murphy crossed the line for the winners and although John Mullen replied with a penalty, King's Hospital led 12-3 at half-time.
Newbridge made a promising start after the break when number eight John Cleere got their only try, converted by Austin O'Brien.
But King's Hospital dominated for the rest of the game after Murphy converted two penalties. A penetrating run by Brendan White set up Ciarán Donoghue for a try and Newbridge faded out of the game. Substitute Sam Murphy made a fine run to the left corner for the final try.
