Kilkenny CBS 3-14, Dublin Colleges 1-8: A lightening start by Kilkenny CBS, when they swept into a 1-7 to 0-1 lead after 17 minutes, laid the foundations for an impressive 12-point Leinster Colleges SHC semi-final victory over the title holders, Dublin Colleges, at Dr Cullen Park, Carlow, yesterday. CBS now meet their great rivals St Kieran's on April 14th.

Typical Kilkenny skill and flair was provided by a trio of tricky forwards, corner men John Dooley and Eoin Guinan chipping it with 1-2 and 1-3 respectively while number 12 David McCormack - whose father John won a couple of All-Ireland Club SHC medals with James Stephens - gave an exhibition of accurate striking, racking up a half-dozen points.
