Kilcummin, trained by former Kerry selector Sean Counihan,were beaten in the first round but got through the back door and find themselves in their first final - this is their fourth year as a senior side.

An Ghaeltacht were outplayed and out-fought by a young Kilcummin side who had only one Kerry senior player in their ranks, but Michael McCarthy could now be playing for the captaincy in the final as O'Rahillys do not have a starting Kerry senior at present.
