Planet Football was gutted to hear of Arsenal man Kanu's woes last week, when he returned to his £2.5 million North London pad to discover it ransacked. Even more shocking was the list of items stolen: a new £70,000 Mercedes CL500, £20,000 in cash, a £10,000 gold Rolex watch, boxes of gold chains and bracelets worth £20,000, two DVD players, a top-of-the-range CD player and mixing deck, designer suits worth £1,000 each, two £2,000 laptop computers, a camcorder, two SLR cameras and a new mobile phone. Luckily, according to Kanu's housekeeper Tony Kerr, the thieves didn't take his new £6,000 TV and video system "because it would have been too big to carry" and the loss of the Mercedes was no big deal because "he has five more cars to choose from". The thieves? "Over the moon," apparently.
