Group A: Alessandro Del Piero scored two goals to help Juventus thrash Rapid Vienna 3-1, keeping the Italians at the top of the group.

Juventus, who had already qualified for the knockout stages, were rarely troubled and led 3-0 half-time. Del Piero wrong-footed Rapid keeper Helge Payer in the 35th minute with a free from well outside the area. Zlatan Ibrahimovic dribbled past three defenders to score seven minutes later, and Del Piero scored again just before the interval by deflecting a shot from the edge of the area.

Rapid's Marek Kincl scored the only goal of the second half in the 52nd minute.

Bayern Munich, who like Juve had already qualified for the knockout phase, had to settle for second spot in the group following a 1-1 draw with Belgian champions Club Bruges.
