LEINSTER COLLEGES SFC A: Good Counsel 2-6 Árdscoil na Tríonóide 0-5:GOOD COUNSEL emerged from the backyard of Árdscoil na Tríonóide with a deserved victory to progress to the third round yesterday.
The Wexford side got off to a dream start with a goal from Tony French and led 1-4 to 0-2 at the break.
Árdscoil only managed their first point from play in the 49th minute, thanks to Micheál Fennelly, but by then Good Counsel had added a goal and a point, the goal coming in the 35th minute through Paul Curtin. Curtin stretched the lead to eight points.
