Galway pennant

Galway will hang their first pennant of the new millennium in their magnificent new clubhouse later this month. Their ladies team won the Connacht Intermediate Cup recently in a thrilling final at Westport golf club. Galway and Bundoran battled it out in less than kind weather conditions for the final glory. All five matches were closely contested but Galway took the first three matches on their way to a 4-1 win. The Galway team, managed by Martina Molloy, comprised Margo Cunningham, Gwen Quaid, Pat Lillis, Mary Heaslip, Ronnie Keenan.
