Cavan 1-10 Monaghan 0-5:Five players were red-carded as football took a back seat in a fractious derby duel at Kingspan/Breffni Park.

Referee Barry Cassidy was the busiest man on the field as local rivalry made way for gross indiscipline on behalf of both sides.
