American Joe Durant fired a bogey-free, seven-under-par 65 to ease to a four-stroke win over Troy Matteson and Frank Lickliter at the Disney Classic on Sunday.

Durant, who has been enjoying superb form recently with a runner-up finish at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic followed by sixth at the Greensboro Open, returned to the winner's circle for the first time in five years with a final total of 25-under 263.

His fourth career title and the $828,000 cheque pushed Durant's season earnings over $2 million and may be enough to earn the 42-year-old veteran an invitation to next month's season-ending Tour Championship in Atlanta.

"I played very solid today," Durant said. "I wanted to go out and hit fairways and greens. I've been rolling the ball well, so I felt if I could go out and play the way I did yesterday I would have a very good chance."

Durant began the day trailing Matteson by a single stroke but quickly put the pressure the leader with three birdies on his outward nine.

Matteson, who picked up his first PGA Tour win last week at the Las Vegas Open, got his day off to the best possible start with a birdie at the first and looked poised to make it back-to-back wins.

However, he was unable to build on the momentum, finishing with a two-under 70 to collect his fourth top-10 finish in as many events.

Justin Rose, who led through the first two rounds, had to settle for fourth when a bogey at the last left him with a three-under 69, five shots back on 268.
