Dungannon dig deep

ALL-IRELAND LEAGUE/Ballymena...5 Dungannon..

ALL-IRELAND LEAGUE/Ballymena...5 Dungannon...17: It has been shocking away form that has so far blighted Dungannon's defence of their league title, so this hard-earned victory at Ballymena, the champions first on the road, may yet prove significant.

Ballymena's only score came from prop Norman McKernan in the ninth minute. Dungannon struck back in the 21st minute when Jan Cunningham sliced his way through from a sniping break by Kieran Campbell. Ian Humphreys converted to put the visitors in front.

With an hour gone, Dungannon stole possession and a break and kick ahead by Mark Bradley was hacked ahead by Tyrone Howe, with the Lion touching down for the killer blow.
