Camogie/All-Ireland Championship/Antrim 2-8 Armagh 0-5: A crucial goal after 27 minutes from 15-year-old senior championship debutant Marie Dargan helped Kilkenny to an ultimately convincing victory over Limerick in the Gala All-Ireland championship at Bruff yesterday.

Limerick, helped by an early point from Vera Sheehan, proved a match for Kilkenny during a very competitive opening half.

But Dargan's goal and a late point from Imelda Kennedy (who scored five points for the winners) eased Kilkenny into a 1-6 to 0-4 interval lead.

However, Limerick failed to reproduce their brave first half performance in the second half and they could only manage one score - an Eileen O'Brien free - midway during that period.

Instead, the second half belonged to Kilkenny, who were inspired by captain and full back Gillian Dillon Maher.

A second goal for Kilkenny midway through the second half from Aoife Neary sealed their victory.

Both sides are back in action on June 24th - Limerick will travel to Galway while Kilkenny face the reigning All-Ireland champions Cork in Kilkenny.

Meanwhile, in the All-Ireland junior championship, Fiona Stephens scored 2-2 as Offaly outclassed Cavan 5-15 to 0-0.

SCORERS: Kilkenny: A Neary 1-1, M Dargan 1-0, I Kennedy 0-5 (0-1f), M O'Connor 0-3, D Delaney 0-2. Limerick: 0-5: E O'Brien 0-3f, V Sheehan, M Dooley 0-1 each.
