CBC Monkstown 24 Wesley College 10: Hooker Brian Clarke inspired CBC Monkstown with two tries to ease past Wesley College into the Leinster Schools' Vinnie Murray Senior Cup final at Kilternan yesterday.
Clarke's first try came when he went over in the right corner after 11 minutes. A Henry Micks penalty for Wesley left little between the sides at the break.
Monkstown centre Gary Foley, forceful throughout, crashed over in the 59th minute and Clarke sped through a sleepy defence shortly after with outhalf John McGann converting both. Monkstown followed up with a try from right wing David Finnegan and Sebastian Caldwell's consolation try, converted by Micks, brought down the curtain on Wesley's season.
