Channon's Hotelgenie is Moyglare favourite

The Mick Channon trained filly Hotelgenie Dot Com has been made the 5 to 2 by Cashmans for Sunday's Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh.

The favourite is a half sister to the 1996 Moyglare winner Bianca Nera and is one of five crosschannel entries left among the 18 horses remaining. Aidan O'Brien has six of the fillies left in and they include Sequoyah who was just beaten by Affianced at the Curragh recently. Nevertheless, Sequoyah has been made the 5 to 1 second favourite by the Cork firm while Jim Bolger's Affianced is at 7 to 1.

Cashmans Bet: 5 to 2 Hotelgenie Dot Com, 5 Sequoyah, 6 Imagine and Blixen, 7 Affianced, Hejeziah and Softly Tread, 10 Stage Presence.

Channon may yet end up bidding for a Group race double at the Curragh as he has yet to decide whether to send the Desmond Stakes winner Golden Silca to Ireland for the Trusted Partner Matron Stakes or aim at Longchamp's Prix du Moulin.

Golden Silca is one of six British fillies left in the Matron, along with the John Dunlop trained Iftiraas who followed up a Fred Darling Stakes win early in the Spring by finishing third in the French 1,000 Guineas.

Hurricane Floyd, beaten favourite in last week's Scottish Equitable Gimcrack Stakes, is to bid for compensation in the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury on September 16th.

"He didn't have the best run in the race at York. He was a little stiff and sore afterwards but I foresee no problems and we head to the Mill Reef at Newbury," said trainer Jeremy Noseda.
