Celtic complete whitewash

CELTIC...1 RANGERS..

CELTIC...1 RANGERS...0: Chris Sutton curled home a superb injury-time winner to give champions Celtic a sixth straight Old Firm derby win against Rangers for the first time since 1915 on Saturday.

It wasn't all joy for Celtic as the Scottish FA will be looking into an incident involving midfielder Alan Thomson and Rangers defender Fernando Ricksen as Thompson celebrated Sutton's winner.

Holland international Ricksen accused the Celtic midfielder of a "vicious slap"as he raced past him to join Sutton's celebrations at Parkhead. However, England international Thompson instead dismissed the incident as a "playful tap". BBC Scotland caught the incident on camera, showing Thompson "touch" Ricksen on the face.

Rangers manager Alex McLeish did have something to celebrate yesterday, however, as he announced the capture of Dado Prso from Champions League finalists Monaco, as Bolton boss Sam Allardyce was left seething on the sidelines.
