Westmeath SFC Final/ Tyrellspass 0-9 Castledaly 0-9: A point from a 25-metre free from JP Casey kept Castledaly's dream of a first senior football championship title intact at Cusack Park, Mullingar, yesterday.

The sides were level at 0-8 apiece with six minutes remaining before a Martin Flanagan lay-off to John Corcoran set up the Tyrrellspass substitute for what looked like the winning point. Casey, however, had the last say.
