All-star Declan Browne came on as a sub to score the winning point for Moyle Rovers in a hard-fought Tipperary SF final against Loughmore-Castleiney at Semple Stadium, Thurles yesterday.

Moyle Rovers claimed their third title in a row, but they had many anxious moments against a spirited Loughmore side who were inspired by their brilliant corner back Noel Cahill.

Despite starting poorly, Loughmore settled and by half-time were level, 0-5 each. With 10 minutes remaining, and the sides level, Declan Brown - who was unable to start because of a pelvic injury - came on and scored a delightful point.

In injury-time Loughmore pressed strongly for an equaliser - and had a shot that looked a point controversially given as a 45 by the referee - but Rovers held on for the title.
