Sir, – The President of UCC Students’ Union has taken umbrage because Corkonians were described in a recent article as “smug, arrogant and insular” (Pádraig Haughney, August 16th).
Perhaps he should take a look at those T-shirts worn when Cork plays in Croke Park. The ones bearing the legend People’s Republic of Cork. – Yours, etc,
