Sir, - As someone who has lived here for many years and watched the deterioration of a much-loved environment, I would like to comment on the proposed Visitors' Centre for the Cliffs of Moher. When will the Irish realise that developing a site in the name of "employment" does not justify yet another brutal intrusion into a unique and beautiful place.
Let us preserve what is left of the environment. In this way we will encourage more people to visit the country. - Yours, etc.,
