A chara, - The rising levels of teenage violence, vandalism and general lack of respect for property and the person seems to have shocked many people. Probably the only group of people in the country who are not shocked by the turn of events are the teachers. They have been trying to convince the last three governments of the growing levels of such behaviour in our schools.
Extra teachers in the schools would be a good start towards tackling that problem. But given the amazing ability of government to ignore the obvious, it is quite possible that the situation will deteriorate before it improves. - Is mise,
