Madam, - The latest Vatican document on women (The Irish Times, August 2nd) lists "listening, welcoming, humility, faithfulness, praise and waiting" as essential aspects of Christian life and goes on to say that "women in fact live them with particular intensity and naturalness".
I can only conclude that it is these very qualities which, in the eyes of the Vatican, make us unfit for the ordained ministries. - Yours, etc.,
