Sir, - A report in your edition of November 1st entitled "Aircraft leaves Dublin with aid for Iraq", you described the plane carrying humanitarian aid as travelling through the Iraqi no-fly zone "imposed by the United Nations as part of sanctions after the war".

This is not the case. In fact, the no-fly zone is a national initiative, jointly maintained by members of the Gulf War coalition, and principally by the United Kingdom and the United States of America. - Yours, etc.,
