Train passengers with disabilities

Sir, – Travelling last Thursday on the 10.40am train from Cork to Dublin, the section for disabled passengers in my carriage was taken by able-bodied travellers.

Despite two passengers with disabilities joining the train, these seats were not vacated in order to facilitate them. There was no visible supervision by railway staff during the whole journey. – Yours, etc,

HARRY MULHERN,

Dublin 13.
