Sir, - As a poet with a "slim volume" due for publication on my 80th birthday, October 24th, I was delighted to come across Brendan Glacken's suggestion of a "three-decade moratorium" on versifying to be declared either by poets themselves or the Government (Times Square, October 9th). An excellent idea, on which I shall act.
I hope, therefore, to resume poetic activity when I am 110. I, if not my thousands of readers throughout the world, deserve a rest. - Yours, etc.,
