Madam, - Further to the article by David Marcus on the writer Maeve Brennan (An Irishman's Diary, July 22nd) and the interest shown by letter-writers since, Irish Times readers will be pleased to know that as part of this years Ranelagh Arts Festival, an evening to celeberate Maeve Brennan will be held in her native village.
The event, comprising an address by Ms Brennan's biographer, Angela Bourke, and contributions by a stellar gathering of local writers and musicians, will be held in Ranelagh Multidenominational School on Thursday, September 28th at 8pm. - Yours, etc,
