Sir, – Your lead story "Restrictions likely to stay until October" (News, August 26th) includes the mind-boggler that "sources have raised the spectre of further freedoms for vaccinated people before then" (October).
Really? It is, I suppose, conceivable that such a development might be spectral to those who inhabit the fringes but I venture that it would be welcomed by those of us who live in this other world. – Yours, etc,
