Sir, – I received an unsolicited letter from a well-known Irish charity this morning seeking a regular donation.
There was a printed direct debit mandate at the end of the letter; alarmingly, on the left of the form, there was a lot of personal information about me. It contained my full address, my post code and my email address.
I have never communicated with this charity.
How did it get my information? – Yours, etc,
