Madam, – Dublin Bus has just announced it will be reviewing the frequency of services on some routes – this is on top of the 10 per cent cut in services introduced during 2009. Dublin Bus is in competition with privately-owned vehicles, so the temptation is to cut services in areas where most of its customers have no choice. We appeal to Dublin Bus not to target bus routes that service the older parts of Dublin where it has a captive audience. – Yours, etc,
