Madam, - I wish to make a suggestion that could help alleviate the very tragic death rates on our roads.
While in Spain I drove a Smart car and was very impressed by its safety features. The engine could not exceed a speed of 40 to 50mph and yet it was a car - not a scooter.
If it was made compulsory for all under-25s to drive a car of this type I feel it would certainly curb speeding and overtaking on bends and thus reduce the number of terrible car crashes. - Yours, etc,
