Madam, Regarding the proposed strike by taxi drivers during the Ryder Cup, it would appear the organisers had already foreseen this, if we are to go by the television advertisement where everyone (with the possible exception of Brian O'Driscoll) is seen walking to the event.

... Madam Kathy Sheridan's article (August 19) on the forthcoming Ryder Cup is a brilliant piece of journalism. When it comes to pointing out that the king has no clothes there is no one to match her.
Since most of the rest of us are gullible and/or inarticulate, long may she continue to take her well sharpened pen to the home grown excesses in hype and spin doctoring that we have to put up with.
