Sir, – At a time when many are greatly concerned with growing distributive injustice and inequity, Ibec proposes an instrument that acts as a conduit to redistribute the national wealth upwards, thus exacerbating an already vulgar and dangerous situation (“Ibec calls for new SSIA-type savings scheme”, News, February 26th).
But where is the surprise in that? After all, all it is doing is looking after the interests of its own, albeit under the pretence that it is concerned for the common good. – Yours, etc,
