A chara, - Tim Attwood (July 8th) appears to be very selective in his anger about the treatment of our national flag. His anger is directed towards Sinn Féin and nationalists only - perhaps not surprisingly, it this the norm in much of our media recently.
If Mr Attwood was as concerned about our national flag as he states, surely he would have referred to the greatest and most frequent degradation of our flag - the scrawling of pub names and other comments across the Tricolour at football matches?
But then again, I suppose there is no Sinn Féin bashing in that. - Yours, etc.,
