Quick off the mark

Sir, – The internet has made the Irish Times Letters page so up to date that it is ahead of the rest of the newspaper. On Saturday, April 14th, I read my newspaper as usual, in strict page sequence starting at page one. The Letters page featured an amusing contribution on the appointment of a new bank chief executive. It was 30 minutes later, while reading the business section, that I read that such a bank appointment had actually taken place.

Perhaps the editor would consider moving the Letters page to the back of the paper so that commentary would follow events rather than precede them. – Yours, etc,

FINBAR KEARNS,
