Madam, - While I agree with Patsy McGarry (December 30th) that the Church of Ireland "includes significant numbers who are nationalist in allegiance as well as a majority in the North who are unionist", I disagree with his assessment that this is "unique among Irish churches". It is certainly also true of the Methodist Church and probably of most, if not all of the Protestant churches which organise themselves on an all-Ireland basis. - Yours, etc,
