Sir, - Having read your report last week about the launch by Minister for the Environment, Mr Cullen, of a new campaign targeting litter louts, I wonder if he might form a coalition among the various political parties to remove the unsightly plastic cable-ties which now adorn almost every lamppost in the city.
Each party has removed its posters but most have neglected to remove their ugly attachments. In future perhaps these plastic ties should be colour-coded for later identification purposes.
As the Minister's slogan has it: "People see you differently when you litter". - Yours, etc.,
