Sir, – I share MD Kennedy's (October 7th) frustration at the posters put up by politicians to promote their public meetings around Dublin. The topics of these meetings are spurious at best and at worst total nonsense. The issues range from "Luas update" to "Stop the burglaries" to "Future school subject choices". It is not hard to see that this is simply a cynical method of early electioneering by these politicians. Indeed some of them have just adapted their election posters to promote the meetings. It will be bad enough putting up with the posters during an election without having them ruining our streets right now. – Yours, etc,
BARBARA KENNEDY,
Goatstown,
Dublin 14.
