Sir, - The problems of illegal parking which have been highlighted and partly corrected in Dublin have increasingly been visited on the populace of local towns such as Naas. I have no problem with illegally parked cars on the road - and neither, it seems, does the Garda. However, I do object to cars parking on footpaths - a scourge which does not seem to exist as an offence.
If Mr Owen Keegan ever tires of the abuse from the whining, whingeing, selfish motorists of Dublin, he can be assured of a welcome here if he tackles what others won't even admit is a problem. - Yours, etc.,
Brendan McMahon, Elmwood, Naas, Co Kildare.
