Madam, - It is reported recently that China has begun building a brand new railway to link itself to Europe through Kazakhstan. This railway will be 2,500 miles long and will be completed in 2010.
It was reported in recent months that Ireland will (one of these days) begin rebuilding the already existing railway linking Sligo to Limerick. This railway will be some 150 miles long and will not be completed until 2015. If ever.
