Sir, - Someone from the GAA should explain in detail why at least 40,000 supporters from Armagh and Sligo have been denied the chance to watch their counties compete in an All-Ireland football quarter-final, as a result of the fixture being scheduled to be played in Navan as opposed to Croke Park.

Maybe before spending €130 million redeveloping Croke Park, the GAA should have thought about whether or not they could use it to host important Championship matches. - Yours, etc.,
