Sir, - I must congratulate the National Road Safety Council on the apparent success of its weekend campaign calling on drivers to leave their lights on in daylight.
I must point out, however, that the campaign highlighted the incredible number of cars with faulty lights - and those coming towards me with the "One-eyed Willie" effect were not limited to older models. One of those cars I spotted with faulty headlights was a Garda vehicle. Leading by example? - Yours, etc.,
