Sir, - I am now well into my fourth month since retiring my mobile phone. Although there are things I miss - blocking people on footpaths while I read text messages, interrupting a conversation while I answer my phone, delaying people behind me at traffic lights while I check to see if I have any messages - most of all I really miss the outrageous monthly bills for calls, most of them unnecessary. - Yours, etc.,
