Madam, - I have just returned from a holiday on the Greek island of Crete. In a restaurant we noted many dishes marked with the letter K. The waiter explained that the price of these dishes must be kept below a certain level and that tourist police regularly check all restaurants to ensure that tourists are not being overpriced.
Perhaps we can take a "vine leaf" out of this approach to stop tourists and locals being ripped off in Ireland. - Yours, etc.,
