Madam, - I see from your edition of November 2nd that the ESB is going to be responsible for the management of 85,000 kms of transmission lines and 73,000 megawatts of power in the south-eastern US.
As the light on pole number 9 here in Monastery Avenue has been out of action for two years and two months, and all sorts of pleas and supplications have been ignored, I foresee a lot of lengthy black nights in the townships along the Mississippi valley.
Let us hope for the sake of these good people, that this is some sort of joke to liven up the Business section. - Yours, etc.,
