Sir, - In the scramble to dupe the people of this country into buying something they already owned, the "re-branding" and "re-imaging" experts appear to have overlooked two letters of the alphabet. This oversight came to light only at this week's a.g.m., when it became obvious that the new company name should have been theircom. One hopes that this error will have been corrected by the time Aer Lingus comes to be sold back to the people who already own it. Otherwise, we could have the plain people of Ireland forming the "perception"

that another valuable, publicly-owned asset had just become their Lingus. - Yours, etc.,
