Eamonn Casey and church hypocrisy

Sir, – Eamonn Casey wasn’t allowed to say Mass publicly in his diocese since his return to Ireland.

Now he is being brought back to Galway cathedral for his funeral Mass and burial in the cathedral crypt, and rightly so, but what hypocrisy by the church that sent him into exile! – Yours, etc,
