Madam, - Kevin Myers is, of course, entitled to express his views on Winston Churchill (An Irishman's Diary, December 11th). That he can do so in the language of his beloved Shakespeare, while living in a democracy, rather than being forced to write in German under a Nazi dictatorship, is largely due to the said Mr Churchill. For this reason alone, Winston Churchill surely deserves his recent "Greatest Briton" accolade. - Yours, etc.,
