Sir, – I am surely missing something. Independent TD John Halligan raised the issue of redress by burglars to their victims (Home News, March 1st).
If a burglar enters a premises to steal in order to sell on the stolen goods for cash, what then is the burglar going to use to pay once caught? Presumably go out and steal again in order to raise the monies? Is this the multiplier effect gone mad ? No wonder we went bust. – Yours, etc,
