Madam, - Given the House of Lords ruling that divorcing partners are entitled to "an equal share of the assets of their partnership", should justice not decree that they are also equally entitled to an equal share of their debts, should that be the remnant reality? Should the law not always promote accountability? Bread surely is not to be buttered on both sides in the fight for a crust. - Yours, etc,
