Madam, – I am reading Fintan O'Toole's book, Ship of Fools, and am rather surprised he has chosen not to apply to the Revenue Commissioners for exemption from tax.
It is clear from the book that our rulers and their associates believe it is a patriotic duty to avoid (or possibly evade) tax whenever possible. Accordingly, I would plead with Mr O’Toole to follow this course of action, if not for himself, then for the sake of the country. – Yours, etc,
